Set to be a simple refresher for this line of pick-up truck, this commercial ended up being a lot of fun to bring to life.
The concept is borrowing from Thai mythology, as this pick-up truck come to this abandoned testing ground, the local divinity, a Naga, wakes up and really put the BT-50 to the challenge. Only to finally find its match and be impressed.
I co-directed this commercial with K. Veera Sae-Ueng during my time at Digital Magic in Bangkok. I took us 2 days shooting under a scorching sun to get it right. VFX subsequently took about a month.
